Job summary

Conway Regional Health System seeks a Central Sterile Tech to decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies and equipment per infection control standards. This position is safety sensitive under Arkansas law.

The candidate should have a high school diploma; CS experience is preferred and CRCST certification is advantageous with a plan to obtain within one year after eligibility.

Overview

The Central Sterile Tech is responsible for decontaminating, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment dispensed by the department following established infection control practices.

SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION: This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the deliveryhealth care related services.

Qualifications

PRE-HIRE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proof of high school or equivalent or higher education
• CS experience preferred.
• CRCST preferred, required to obtain 1 year after certification eligibility.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED PRIOR TO INDEPENCENCE FROM PRECEPTOR:

• Computer-Assisted Self-Directed New Employee Orientation
• Successful completion of Meditech Information System Orientation

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED PRIOR TO COMPLETION OF ORIENTATION:

• Successful completion of orientation skills checklist
• Attendance at New Employee Orientation classroom program
