Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to join our perioperative support team. You will ensure sterile instrument sets, maintain standards for decontamination, and collaborate with nursing staff to keep case carts ready and workflows smooth.

The ideal candidate has CST certification or a CST-related credential, or 3 years of Central Sterile experience, with an emphasis on accuracy, speed, and patient safety in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Central Sterile Tech program or CST certificate alternative.
• 3 years Central Sterile experience if CST cert not held.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts on time.
• Assists in maintaining consistent workflow and provides superior customer service.
