Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to support sterile processing in a fast-paced perioperative environment. You will assemble, decontaminate, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment for case carts and departments.

Collaborate with Perioperative Nursing staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of instrument sets, maintain workflow, and deliver exceptional service to our surgical teams.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required; CST certificate preferred or 3 years Central Sterile experience required.
• 3 years Central Sterile experience required, or no experience if CST cert held.
• CCST or CST certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous work flow, providing superior customer service.

Education

H.S. Diploma or GED

Central Sterile Technician Certification

3 years Central Sterile experience
