Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to decontaminate, prepare, and sterilize trays, instruments, and equipment while managing inventory and patient charge batching.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of Central Sterile experience in a hospital setting and awareness of department locations. BLS certification and a Central Supply certification are preferred; the position is full-time with night shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
• At least two (2) years experience as a Central Sterile Technician required; in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Central Supply Certified certification, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, preparation, sterilization of Central Sterile trays, instruments, equipment, inventory and restocking of supplies.
• Demonstrates knowledge of all department locations within facility and ability to access all departments.
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
