Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Processing professional to maintain sterilization standards and ensure timely delivery of sterile instrument sets and equipment. You will collaborate with the Perioperative Nursing staff to support workflow and provide excellent customer service.

The role requires completion of a Central Sterile Processing or Surgical Tech program or equivalent experience, with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness in instrument processing.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Central Sterile Processing or Surgical Tech program required.
• In lieu of graduate, prior Central Sterile or Surgical Tech experience required.

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in a timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and equipment in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintains consistent workflow and provides superior customer service.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program

In Lieu of graduate of Central Sterile Processing or Surgical Tech program, must have prior experience as a Central Service or Surgical Tech
