Job summary

Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Central Services Technician for the 1st shift to join the EMRMC Central Sterile team. The non-certified technician will receive, decontaminate, and process instruments while supporting sterilization and high-level disinfection tasks.

Candidates should have a High School diploma and are required to obtain CRCST certification within 12 months. Responsibilities include inventory control, case cart delivery, and on-call coverage for OR

Qualifications

• The ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling instruments.
• Experience or familiarity with inventory control and PAR levels.

Responsibilities

• Receive, clean, decontaminate, and process instruments and supplies.
• Operate water softener system and troubleshoot as needed.
• Perform sterilization and high-level disinfection duties.
• Prepare case carts and instrumentation for sterilization and delivery.
• Maintain inventory, conduct cycle counts, and manage stock rotation.
• Take OR on-call rotation on weekends/holidays.
