Job summary

Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to perform decontamination, preparation and sterilization of trays, instruments and equipment. This full‑time, day shift role also handles inventory, restocking of supplies, data entry and batch processing of patient charges.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least two years in Central Sterile in an acute care setting, BLS certification, and preferably Central Supply certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required.
• At least two (2) years experience as a Central Sterile Technician required; in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Central Supply Certified certification, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.

Demonstrates detailed awareness and knowledge of patient supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
• At least two (2) years experience as a Central Sterile Technician required; in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Central Supply Certified certification, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.
