Job summary

Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, PA is seeking a Central Sterile Technician for Per Diem to join a team dedicated to quality, compassion and community. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required for new hires.
• Two years’ experience as a Central Sterile Technician in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Central Supply Certified certification, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, preparation, and sterilization of Central Sterile trays and instruments.
• Manage inventory and restock supplies; enter data and batch patient charge cards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of all department locations and access to departments.
• Maintain clear verbal and written communication.

Education

Two (2) years’ experience as a Central Sterile Technician in an acute care hospital setting

Central Supply Certified certification

Responsibilities

The Central Sterile Technician is responsible for decontamination, preparation, sterilization of Central Sterile trays, instruments, equipment, inventory and restocking of supplies, computer data entry and patient charge card batching. Demonstrates knowledge of all department locations within facility and ability to access all departments. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates detailed awareness and knowledge of patient supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Two (2) years’ experience as a Central Sterile Technician in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Central Supply Certified certification, preferred
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate, preferred

Facility Specific Requirements (as applicable required)

• At least two (2) years experience as a Central Sterile Technician required
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.
• Central Supply Certified certification required
• Central Supply Certified certification required within two years from date of hire at designated facilities
