The role requires a High School diploma or GED and knowledge of sterilization techniques with infection prevention. Certification CRCST/CSPDT preferred; strong attention to detail and ability to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in Central Sterile Processing preferred.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection prevention.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment per procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain sterilization records and documentation.
• Ensure surgical instruments and equipment are properly stored and readily available for procedures.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, proper function, and damage.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist Surgical Services staff with instrument and equipment needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
