Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a capable Sterile Processing Technician to independently perform decontamination, sterilization, assembly and packaging of instruments in a high-volume hospital setting. You will operate washers and sterilizers, inspect instruments for quality, and maintain traceability throughout processing.

This role supports patient care areas with efficient, compliant workflows. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of central sterile experience, High School Diploma or equivalent,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required.
• 1-2 years of central sterile experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of sterile processing, instrumentation, sterilization methods, and infection prevention standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable medical devices and surgical instrumentation.
• Operates washers, sterilizers, and related equipment following policies and regulatory requirements.
• Inspects instruments for cleanliness and functionality; identifies items needing repair or replacement.
• Assembles instrument trays and maintains traceability of devices.
