Job summary

St. Catherine of Siena Hospital, part of Catholic Health, in Smithtown, NY, invites an experienced Central Service Technician to join our centralized sterile processing team.

You will decontaminate, clean, and sterilize supplies and equipment, prepare sterile trays, and operate sterilizers according to approved standards. Qualifications include a minimum of 2 years in Central Supply or related areas, at least 1 year in Central Processing, and CRCST certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years' experience in Central Supply or related area such as Operating Room
• Minimum 1 year experience in Central Processing
• CRCST certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Receives, decontaminates, cleans, processes, and sterilizes supplies/equipment per procedures
• Prepares and wraps sterile supplies, dressings, trays, needles, syringes
• Operates sterilizers per accepted standards
