Job summary

St. Catherine of Siena Hospital, a Catholic Health member located in Smithtown, NY, is seeking a Central Service Technician to handle decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of supplies and equipment.

This role requires maintaining sterile technique and following established procedures to support patient care. Two years in Central Supply or related areas and one year in Central Processing are needed, with CRCST certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Central Supply or related area such as Operating Room required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Central Processing.
• CRCST certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all functions related to receiving, decontaminating, cleaning, processing, and sterilizing supplies/equipment according to established procedures and techniques.
• Prepares and wraps sterile supplies and instruments, dressing/treatment trays, needles, syringes, etc.
• Operates sterilizers in accordance with accepted standards.

Central Service Technician Responsibilities

Salary Range

USD $31.56 - USD $31.56 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
