Job summary

St. Catherine of Siena Hospital in Smithtown, part of Catholic Health, is seeking a Central Service Technician to receive, decontaminate, and sterilize supplies and equipment according to established procedures.

Requirements include minimum 2 years in Central Supply and at least 1 year in Central Processing, IAHCSMM (HSPA) certification; CRCST certification preferred. Salary is hourly with benefits and growth opportunities within Catholic Health.

• Minimum 1 year experience in Central Processing.
• IAHCSMM (HSPA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all functions related to receiving, decontaminating, cleaning, processing, and sterilizing supplies/equipment according to established procedures and techniques.
• Prepares and wraps sterile supplies and instruments, dressing/treatment trays, needles, syringes, etc.
• Operates sterilizers in accordance with accepted standards.

Salary Range

USD $34.72 - USD $34.72 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
