Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Certification as a Central Service (Sterile Supply) Technician is required.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospital administration, or related discipline preferred.
• CER Scope certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Three years’ supervision experience in a complex technical operation in health care/sterile processing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily CSP operations and supervise technicians.
• Ensure compliance with standards by agencies like ANSI/AAMI, JCAHO, OSHA, and AORN.
• Coordinate staff training, competencies, and performance evaluations.
• Provide technical direction and monitor process records for accuracy.
• Assist with procurement activities and maintain safety and infection control.
• Communicate with perioperative team and hospital leadership regarding issues affecting patient care.
