Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Identifies visitors/vendors who are required to complete the KCDHS Access Log.
  • Supports performance improvement efforts by communicating opportunities to leadership.
  • Provides back-up for the Mail and Supply Specialist and Safety Specialist as needed.
  • Provides access services in the building, including greeting, screening, and directing visitors/participants.
  • Operates mail room equipment including postage metering machine.
  • Demonstrates competency in communicating with a variety of people of varying ages, abilities, and multi-agency personnel.
  • Maintains knowledge of the facility and service delivery of the divisions/agencies at KCJC/HSB.
  • Acts as a point of contact for internal and external customers.
  • Coordinates and implements training/orientation sessions for staff, including safety-related training.
  • Conducts safety inspections and documentation per GWI processes and Kenosha County reps.

The Central Services Program Specialist provides services related to all Central Service functions onsite at the Kenosha County Job Center/Human Services Building.

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:

The Central Services Program Specialist provides services related to all Central Service functions onsite at the Kenosha County Job Center/Human Services Building. The Central Services Program Specialist will assist with mail, supplies, safety procedures, systems, and training at the Job Center / Human Services Building. The Central Services Program Specialist acts as a frontline liaison with Human Service agencies concerning activities related to the direct provision of Central Services and on-going operations at the Job Center/Human Services Building.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
  1. Identifies visitors/vendors who are required to complete the KCDHS Access Log. Scan and forward completed logs to the Child Support Manager.
  2. Supports performance improvement efforts by communicating opportunities to leadership, acting as necessary and maintaining accurate process and procedure documentation.
  3. Provides back-up for the Mail and Supply Specialist and the Safety Specialist as needed, to ensure seamless operations in department, as well as, the KCJC/HSB.
  4. Provides access services in the building, including greeting, screening, and directing visitors/participants.
  5. Ability to operate mail room equipment including postage metering machine.
  6. Demonstrates competency in communicating with a variety of people of varying ages, abilities, and multi-agency personnel.
  7. Maintains a thorough working knowledge of the facility and the service delivery of the divisions/agencies collocated at KCJC/HSB.
  8. Acts as a point of contact for internal and external customers, including vendors, staff, visitors, and general public.
  9. Coordinates and implements a system of training and orientation sessions for staff, including safety-related training.
  10. Conducts weekly/monthly/quarterly Goodwill safety inspections, including safety related drills and inspections, monitoring first aid kits and AED Units, and completes related documentation, as per GWI corporate processes, and in coordination with appropriate Kenosha County representatives.
  11. Communicates in an effective professional manner to visitors, participants, employees, and supervisors.
  12. Maintains a positive working relationship with all facility personnel.
  13. Maintains a thorough working knowledge of the facility, the DHS Emergency Policies, procedures, and the service delivery of the divisions/agencies collocated at KCJC/HSB.
  14. Maintains a thorough working knowledge of the resources available from the Kenosha County Department of Human Services.
  15. Maintain standards of confidentiality.
  16. Responsible for completing all other job duties/responsibilities as assigned.

When determining placement within the salary range for this position Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago considers education, experience, internal equity, market demands and other qualifying criteria. It is not typical for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the rage for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on facts and circumstances of each case.
