Description

In this role, you will be responsible for ordering, inventory, and distribution of medical supplies throughout the Ronald Reagan Medical Center and/or ambulatory clinics to ensure clinical staff have all necessary supplies for patient care. Deliveries may include driving university vehicles to transport supplies and equipment to UCLA clinics.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Distribution and transport of supplies and equipment within all UCLA Health System facilities, including community clinics.
2. Work closely with clinical staff to identify product needs and staging preferences.
3. Set up and/or modify products within supply management software.
4. Place electronic orders using handheld or third-party software to replenish inventory.
5. Reconcile packing slips against ordered and delivered content using multiple software platforms.
6. Assist in managing backordered items via notification stickers and on-hand counts.
7. Research patient supplies used for charge posting reconciliations with clinical staff.
8. Write daily summaries of activities using an Excel template.

This is an "as needed" part-time per diem position; total working hours and shifts will vary. May convert to a career position.

Salary range: $25.06 per hour.

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid driver’s license, compliant driving record, and enrollment in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
• Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate university vehicles.
• Experience with supply dollies, heavy-duty transport carts, electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and forklifts.
• Self-starter with effective time management, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to workload, assignments, and schedules, including weekends and different shifts.
• Organized and able to stay current with required HR online competency classes on policy and safety.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean work environment and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Proficiency in English for effective communication verbally and electronically.
• Participation in Quality Management and PIE programs; adherence to Materials Management and UCLA policies.
• Willingness to attend workshops, classes, drills, etc., as required.

Preferred:

• Experience in hospital settings, purchasing, accounting, inventory stocking, or tracking.
• Experience managing orders and optimizing inventory with Lawson, WaveMark, or other ERP systems.
