Central Scheduling Representative - Part Time (REMOTE)

Overview

Join our team as a Patient Access Representative at Trinity Health, a leading healthcare provider in Southeastern Michigan, serving communities across 21 states. We are looking for a dedicated individual to handle appointment scheduling, patient demographic and insurance information, pre-registration, and eligibility verification.

Responsibilities
  1. Obtain and verify demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance information for patient appointments.
  2. Perform pre-registration activities and respond to real-time eligibility checks.
  3. Provide patients with instructions for test preparation and mail itineraries when appropriate.
  4. Validate medical necessity of Medicare cases to ensure proper clinical and financial clearance.
  5. Process signed physician orders and ensure accurate clinical documentation.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and data entry skills (50-60 keystrokes per minute).
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a healthcare setting, such as a physician's office, hospital, or clinic, with patient scheduling responsibilities.
