Avita Health System is seeking an Authorization Specialist to join the Centralized Scheduling Department at Crestline. The role involves contacting payers for service authorization and collecting patient data and clinical information.

Two years in healthcare and knowledge of insurance processes are required; EPIC experience is preferred. This full-time position offers competitive wages and comprehensive benefits in Crestline, OH.

Position Overview

Contacts payers to request service authorization. Collects financial and/or demographic information from patients and clinical information from patient charts, orders, or providers.

Qualifications

Required:

• At least two years of experience in a healthcare setting performing related tasks
• Familiarity with healthcare insurance processes

Preferred:

• Associate degree in healthcare or business administration and/or related coursework
• Successful completion of courses in medical terminology and human anatomy
• Experience with EPIC information systems
