We’re currently seeking a dedicated Authorization Specialist to join our Centralized SchedulingDepartment at our Crestlinelocation.

Position Overview

Contacts payers to request service authorization. Collects financial and/or demographic information from patients and clinical information from patient charts, orders, or providers.

Qualifications

Required:

• At least two years of experience in a healthcare setting performing related tasks
• Familiarity with healthcare insurance processes

Preferred:

• Associate degree in healthcare or business administration and/or related coursework
• Successful completion of courses in medical terminology and human anatomy
• Experience with EPIC information systems
