Key responsibilities
- Review initial estimates and supplements written by shop estimators for accuracy, completeness and compliance with each insurance carrier's guidelines and DRP requirements.
- Verify labor operations, refinish times, included and not-included operations, and P-pages logic in the estimating system (CCC ONE, Mitchell or Audatex).
- Confirm parts selection follows carrier requirements for OEM, aftermarket, LKQ/recycled and remanufactured parts, including proper pricing and availability notes.
- Check that required documentation is present before submission: photos, damage notes, scan reports, OEM repair procedures and invoices for sublet work.
- Flag and correct non-compliant items such as unsupported labor, duplicate operations, missing line notes or unapproved rates.
- Communicate findings to estimators and shop managers, explain required corrections, and coach on recurring issues.
- Work with insurance desk reviewers and adjusters to resolve estimate questions, supplement disputes and reinspection findings.
- Track review outcomes and key metrics such as estimate accuracy, severity, cycle time impact and carrier audit scores.
- Stay current on carrier guideline updates, DRP scorecard changes and OEM repair procedure requirements, and share updates with shop teams.
- Meet daily turnaround targets for estimate reviews so repairs are not delayed.
- Qualifications: Required:
- 3+ years of collision repair estimating experience, either at a body shop or as an insurance appraiser or desk reviewer.
- Strong working knowledge of at least one major estimating platform (CCC ONE, Mitchell or Audatex).
- Solid understanding of DRP programs, insurance carrier guidelines and the claims process.

- Experience in a multi-location (MSO) or centralized review environment.
- Prior work as an insurance desk reviewer or field appraiser.
- Experience with ADAS calibrations and pre- and post-repair scanning requirements.
- Skills and abilities
- Sharp attention to detail and the ability to spot errors quickly across a high volume of estimates.
- Clear, tactful communication when giving corrections to estimators and working with adjusters.
- Strong organization and time management to meet daily review deadlines.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office and shop management systems.
- Ability to work independently and make consistent, guideline-based judgment calls.
