Job summary

Harmons Grocery seeks a Central Production Cook/Lead to maintain high-quality standards for chef-prepared products in Harmons’ Central Production Facility. You will educate and train Central Production Cooks and Prep Cooks, ensure safety, consistency, and efficiency in large-scale production across Harmons store locations.

The role requires cooking to Harmons’ recipes, adhering to GMPs and food safety, and coordinating with the Quality Control team to maintain product quality and logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Two-year college or technical school degree preferred
• 1–3 years of experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen environment
• Current food handler’s permit
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Strong organization and planning skills
• Ability to read and follow recipes
• Knowledge of food production techniques and safe food handling practices

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of foods following Harmons’ recipes and production schedules
• Operate industrial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Batch cook products to precise specifications to ensure consistency
• Train Central Production Cooks and Prep Cooks
• Complete cooking and cooling logs and maintain sanitation standards
• Inventory management and ordering of products
