Job Description

Company: Allegheny Health Network

Job Overview: We are currently offering a sign-on bonus for eligible full-time Central Processing Technician positions! The bonus amount depends on your years of experience:

  • $5,000 sign-on bonus: 2-year commitment, no experience necessary
  • $7,000 sign-on bonus: 1–2 years of Sterile Processing experience with certification
  • $10,000 sign-on bonus: More than 2 years of Sterile Processing experience with certification

Responsibilities:

  1. Clean, disinfect, decontaminate, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
  2. Receive, stock, package, and distribute medical instruments and equipment.
  3. Perform and document quality assurance testing, inspect stock, and manage supplies.
  4. Properly dispose of biohazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and unusable supplies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED, or related experience/training.
  • For CSTs hired after 12/29/2020: must pass a nationally accredited exam within 18 months and maintain certification (CRCST or CSPDT).

Preferred:

  • Experience in sterile processing or hospital setting.
  • Enrollment in surgical tech/sterile processing program.
