We are currently offering a sign-on bonus for eligible full-time Central Processing Technician positions! The bonus amount depends on your years of experience:

• $5,000 sign-on bonus, 2-year commitment – no experience necessary
• $7,000 sign-on bonus, 2-year commitment – 1–2 years of Sterile Processing experience, with certification
• $10,000 sign-on bonus, 2-year commitment – over 2 years of Sterile Processing experience with certification

General Overview

This role involves receiving, cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, storing, and distributing medical instruments and equipment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes medical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods, substances, and equipment. (30%)
• Receives, stocks, packages, and distributes medical instruments and equipment. (30%)
• Performs and documents quality assurance testing and inspections, manages inventory, and reorders supplies. (30%)
• Properly disposes of biohazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and unusable supplies. (10%)

Qualifications

Minimum

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience/training, or equivalent education and experience.
• For CST hired after 12/29/2020: Exempt from certification if practicing central sterile before this date; must pass a national exam within 18 months of hire; maintain CRCST or CSPDT certification.

Preferred

• Sterile processing or hospital setting experience.
• Enrollment in surgical tech or sterile processing program.
