We are currently offering a sign-on bonus for Central Processing Technician eligible full-time positions! The amount of the sign-on bonus depends on your years of Central Processing experience.

  • $5,000 sign-on bonus, 2-year commitment – no experience necessary
  • $7,000 sign-on bonus, 2-year commitment – 1–2 years of Sterile Processing experience, with certification
  • $10,000 sign-on bonus, 2-year commitment – more than 2 years of Sterile Processing experience with certification
GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This job involves receiving, cleaning, distributing, and storing medical instruments and equipment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes medical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods, substances, and equipment. (30%)
  • Receives, stocks, packages, and distributes medical instruments and equipment. (30%)
  • Performs and documents quality assurance testing and inspection on stock; inventories and reorders supplies. (30%)
  • Properly disposes of biohazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and unusable equipment and supplies. (10%)
QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

  • High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience/training; or equivalent education and experience.
  • For Central Service Technician (CST) hired after 12/29/2020: Employees practicing central sterile procedures before this date are exempt from certification; must pass a nationally accredited exam within 18 months of hire; maintain CRCST or CSPDT certification.

Preferred:

  • Sterile processing or hospital experience.
  • Enrollment in a surgical tech/sterile processing program.
