Job summary

Park City Surgery Center is seeking a Central Processing Technician to support a busy Orthopedic Surgery Center with 4 operating rooms. The role involves decontaminating, assembling, and sterilizing instruments, and ensuring efficient turnover for scheduled surgeries.

Qualifications

• Sterile processing experience, preferably in orthopedics or ambulatory surgery.
• Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection prevention standards.

• Team-focused and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble, inspect, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
• Maintain documentation per AAMI and AORN standards.
• Ensure accurate and timely instrument turnover for scheduled surgeries.
• Maintain inventory and notify leadership of supply or equipment concerns.
• Communicate effectively with OR staff to meet surgical demands.
• Rotating shifts between 6:00 AM and 8:30 PM.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Central Processing Technician to join our high-performing team at a busy Orthopedic Surgery Center with 4 operating rooms. Our center delivers outstanding patient care in partnership with The Orthopedic Partners, Intermountain Health, and Surgery Partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Decontaminate, assemble, inspect, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners
• Maintain documentation in accordance with AAMI and AORN standards
• Ensure accurate and timely instrument turnover for scheduled surgeries
• Maintain appropriate inventory and notify leadership of any supply or equipment concerns
• Communicate effectively with OR staff to meet surgical demands
• Rotating shifts between 6:00 AM and 8:30 PM
