Job summary
Pima Community College Foundation Inc. is seeking a Central Plant Trades Specialist 2 who will perform skilled journey-level duties maintaining and repairing commercial facilities, including HVAC, refrigeration, and central plant systems.
The role requires flexibility, evening/weekend work, and potential on-call rotations. Starting pay ranges from $23.64 to $26.61 per hour, with longevity steps up to $28.70.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; EPA certification desirable or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 3–7+ years journey-level trade experience in central plant systems or related facilities.
- Valid Arizona driver’s license preferred for local travel.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical maintenance and ongoing administration of central plant systems.
- Coordinate facilities maintenance, repair, and installation duties for assigned trade area.
- Troubleshoot urgent technical problems and respond to pages or emergency calls on a 24-hour basis.
- Operate energy management control systems and related equipment.
- Inspect facilities and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Follow applicable laws, codes, and safety procedures; participate in on-call rotation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
