Position Overview: The DeKalb County School District is seeking an experienced and professional Supervisor, Assistant Transportation. Responsibilities

• Lead and support transportation staff, including bus drivers and monitors, ensuring efficient operations and punctual student transportation.
• Manage driver routes, conduct safety inspections, and ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
• Coordinate with school administrators, parents, and stakeholders to address transportation issues.
• Investigate complaints and incidents, gather information, and resolve community concerns.
• Mentor and train new drivers, emphasizing safety and policy adherence.
• Handle payroll and administrative tasks related to transportation scheduling.
• Utilize transportation software for route planning and suggest process improvements.
• Operate radios for communication and provide backup driving support when needed.
• Monitor bus maintenance and cleanliness per policy and regulations.
• Respond to emergencies, investigate accidents, and assist the Transportation Supervisor as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma with at least six (6) years of relevant experience; experience as a bus driver preferred.
