Job summary

Glow Networks seeks an experienced Central Office Installer to support Ciena projects nationwide. You will install and commission telecom equipment in central office facilities, handle DC power distribution from BDFBs, and manage fiber/copper cabling per engineering standards.

The role requires hands-on expertise with power systems, cable management, and AT&T procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and high-quality installations across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Central Office installation roles.
• Experience with DC power systems and BDFBs.
• Familiarity with AT&T installation practices and documentation.
• Ability to read telecom schematics and BOMs.
• Experience routing and terminating fiber and copper cabling.

Responsibilities

• Install, integrate, and commission telecom equipment in CO environments.
• Pull, terminate, and fuse DC power cables from BDFBs to network elements.
• Install power distribution and fuse panels (secondary power).
• Route and label fiber and copper cabling per standards.
• Install and test sync equipment and timing panels.
• Terminate and test fiber connectors and copper blocks.
• Use OTDRs, fiber scopes, TDRs, meters to verify installation.
• Interpret rack elevations, MOPs, circuit layouts and AT&T CFRs.
• Ensure compliance with AT&T TP standards and document work.
