Qualifications

• Tier 3 Mechanical Technician skills and experience.
• Level 1 NIMS certification or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Welding and fabrication skills preferred.
• Teamwork, leadership, verbal, written, computer and Maximo skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety, housekeeping and environmental policies, including North Star Safety Standards.
• Maintain workshop housekeeping and promote a safe work environment.
• Problem-solve plant projects and issues with plant personnel.
• Complete reporting through Maximo and other plant systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and teach basic machining skills to others.
• Operate drills, bandsaws, plasma/torch cutter and other shop equipment as needed.
• Take on additional responsibility and contribute to a positive team environment.

Job description
