Baptist Health is seeking a Central Specialty & Mail Order Pharmacy Technician for our new Central Pharmacy in LaGrange, KY, near Louisville. The role focuses on prescription fulfillment, nonsterile compounding under pharmacist supervision, and ensuring proper handling of cold chain packaging for specialty mail orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Kentucky Board of Pharmacy registration before or on hire date if not currently registered.
• Previous retail, mail order, and/or central pharmacy work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs medication fulfillment for centralized specialty and home delivery prescriptions as permitted by state regulations.
• Performs nonsterile compounding under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintains cold chain and temperature-controlled packaging requirements.
• Assists in inventory management including order reviews, compliant receiving, returns and restocking.
• Maintains and assists with pharmacy automation systems per BH policies.
• Keeps the pharmacy area clean and organized and completes tasks at shift end.
• Collaborates with on-site call center to coordinate services and resolve prescription issues.
• Escalates problems to a pharmacist or manager when unable to resolve independently.
• Assists in training new staff and participates in team meetings.
