Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Fulfillment Technician for our new Central Pharmacy in LaGrange, KY. The role focuses on prescription fulfillment, distribution, and inventory management within a fast-paced mail-order facility that uses large-scale automation.

The technician will operate under pharmacist supervision, collaborate with the central call center, and support nonsterile compounding, cold chain packaging, and continuous safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician registration with KY Board of Pharmacy by date of hire.
• National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) preferred.
• Retail/mail-order/call center pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill centralized specialty and home delivery prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist in maintenance of automation systems and comply with regulations.
• Perform nonsterile compounding under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain cold chain and room temperature packaging requirements.
• Assist in inventory management: receiving, returns, restocking, and cycle counts.
• Collaborate with onsite call center to coordinate services and resolve issues.
• Keep the department clean and organized; complete end-of-shift tasks.
• Escalate problems to a pharmacist or manager when needed.
• Assist in training new staff and participate in team meetings.
