Alverno Laboratories seeks a Central Laboratory – General Laboratory supervisor to oversee operations in Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, and RIA, ensuring technical oversight and staff competency. The role supports the lab's mission to provide accurate, timely results in a healing environment.
The candidate will coordinate quality control, proficiency testing, and process improvements, while maintaining regulatory compliance across the core disciplines.

This individual is responsible for supervising, planning and controlling all lab operations and personnel in the General Laboratory section of the Core Laboratory, which includes Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology and RIA technical disciplines. As well, responsible for Technical Supervision (technical and scientific oversight) for these specialty areas. The central supervisor is accessible to the laboratories at all times, either on site or by telephone. Advanced technical knowledge in the field supervised is required. Ability to work with front line staff in troubleshooting instrument problems as they occur. Technically competent in the quality control program, proficiency testing and process improvement program of the areas of testing. Responsible for regulatory compliance of the testing overseen. Competency of staff supervised for testing is part of the responsibility for this position, which may include corrective action if necessary.
