Job summary

Oakland Unified School District’s Central Kitchen-Nutrition Services is seeking a Production Technician to oversee temperature-sensitive distribution and packaging operations. The role requires ensuring compliance with HACCP, safety standards, and efficient logistics across multiple school sites.

The position offers 261 days per year at a salary range of $47,752.60 to $58,067.30, with in-house responsibilities that include equipment operation, quality control, and documentation for cold chain

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ServSafe Certificate required.
• 5+ years progressively responsible experience in food service.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs; comply with HACCP, safety and health regulations.
• Oversee distribution and delivery operations of food in a large Central Kitchen.
• Inspect deliveries for quantity, quality and specifications.
• Operate and troubleshoot standard commercial kitchen equipment and packaging lines.
• Maintain clean, labelled, and organized prep and delivery areas.
