Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Warehouse Area Manager in Ohio to assist the Warehouse Manager by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services. You will lead a team, drive efficiency, and help ensure timely availability of materials and stock for Rural King stores and customers.

The role emphasizes a positive, proactive approach, adherence to safety, and continued improvement in operations, team development, and service quality.

A Warehouse Area Manager assists the Warehouse Manager in providing materials, equipment, and supplies by directing the receiving, warehousing, and distribution services.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

• Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external customer support while assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly
• Actively participate in learning initiatives such as training programs, workshops, and leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
• Assist receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs, operational and personnel policies and procedures.
• Makes recommendations on employment status.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with the data storage system
• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results
• Establishing and maintain a positive work atmosphere.
• Operating forklift, pallet jack, and warehouse equipment.
• Ensure all quality and production goals are met daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
