Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in insurance and billing required.
• Experience in long-term care, hospital, or other healthcare accounting preferred.
• Experience with Medicare Advantage and Medicaid eligibility preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the internet required.

Responsibilities

• Authorization verification and management across workflow software for home health and hospice services.
• Submits and tracks authorizations via payer portals or fax as applicable.
• Completes recertifications and communicates authorization changes to sites and billing staff.
• Tracks appeals and manages the ADR log and communications with AR coordinators.
