TheCorporate LLC in Bridgeport, CT is seeking an experienced Centerless Grinder — Machine Setup / Operator to join our precision manufacturing team. You will set up, operate, and adjust centerless grinding machines to meet strict dimensional requirements and quality standards.

Candidates with aerospace/defense/medical device experience are encouraged. This role involves reading drawings, selecting tooling, and maintaining documentation while adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating centerless grinding machines or comparable precision grinding equipment.
• Hands-on machine setup experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate centerless grinding machines, including through-feed, plunge, and form grinding.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Select, install, and dress grinding wheels and other required tooling.
• Adjust machine settings, feed rates, speeds, and grinding parameters to achieve tolerances.
• Monitor production processes and maintain quality and productivity.
• Inspect finished components using micrometers, calipers, and other tools.
• Identify and report quality issues and dimensional discrepancies.
• Perform routine machine cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and job documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures and keep a clean, organized area.
