Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate centerless grinding machines, including through-feed, plunge, and form grinding.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Select, install, and dress grinding wheels and other required tooling.
• Adjust machine settings, feed rates, speeds, and grinding parameters to achieve tolerances.
• Monitor production processes and maintain quality and productivity.
• Inspect finished components using micrometers, calipers, and other tools.
• Identify and report quality issues and dimensional discrepancies.
• Perform routine machine cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and job documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures and keep a clean, organized area.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Centerless Grinder — Machine Setup / Operator to join a precision manufacturing team in Bridgeport, CT. This position involves setting up, operating, and adjusting centerless grinding machines to produce high-precision components that meet strict quality and dimensional requirements.

Candidates with experience in aerospace, medical device, defense, or other precision manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply. Aerospace experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate centerless grinding machines, including through-feed, plunge, and form grinding equipment.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.

Select, install, and dress grinding wheels and other required tooling.

Adjust machine settings, feed rates, speeds, and grinding parameters to achieve required tolerances.

Compensation and Benefits
