Accelera Staffing is seeking a Precision Grinding Specialist in California to set up and operate thru-feed centerless grinders for high-tolerance components. You will oversee setup, operation, and inspection, ensuring every run meets exacting quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with thru-feed centerless grinding setups.
• Ability to diagnose and correct grinding geometry and surface finish issues.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T.
• Strong shop math skills and knowledge of metric and standard measuring systems.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform standing/reaching tasks.

Responsibilities

• Configure thru-feed centerless grinders for various production runs, adjusting blade height, wheel speed, and guide alignment to meet precise specs.
• Perform manual part feeding to maintain a continuous, gap-free flow through grinding.
• Carry out wheel dressing, balancing, and mounting for optimal machine performance and surface finish.
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, OD gauges) to verify components match drawings.
• Troubleshoot issues such as chatter, taper, or size drift to maintain high quality.
• Document setup parameters and process adjustments for repeatable production cycles.
• Mentor junior team members on machine operation, gauging techniques, and tool maintenance.
• Maintain a safe, organized workspace in compliance with safety protocols.

• Utilize precision measuring tools, including micrometers and OD dial gauges, to verify that components conform to engineering drawings.

Required Skills
