Job summary

Responsibilities

• Observe and follow all company policies and standard practices.
• In the absence of the department manager, manage department operations per standards.
• Maintain a neat appearance and comply with appearance policy.
• Recognize associates who deliver great service and coach as needed.
• Use company tools such as financial reports, scheduling, productivity, and systems.
• Maintain communication across the store and organization.
• Maintain merchandising techniques and layouts per standards.
• Ensure pricing and coding policy compliance.
• Work within management planning guidelines to maintain productivity.
• Support safety standards and report repairs; keep area clean.
• Develop product knowledge across department, including prep.
• Understand and follow the department's Standard Practice manual.
• Ensure proper training of assigned department associates.
• Ensure sanitation and food safety standards.
• Maintain department appearance and presentation.
• Treat associates with fairness and respect; recognize achievements.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
