The Fresh Market is seeking a Center Store Department Lead to support the Center Store Department Manager in delivering an exceptional guest experience and maintaining well-organized, visually appealing departments. You will lead by example, coach teammates, monitor labor, manage inventory, assist in ordering, and respond quickly to issues to ensure operations run smoothly and guests feel welcome.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of progressive management experience in retail, supermarkets, or hospitality.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Proven ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience while meeting performance goals.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor labor schedules to meet productivity and budget goals.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and support ordering processes.
• Serve as a resource for team members in the manager’s absence.
• Model hospitality and engage guests to create positive experiences.
• Assist in merchandising and promotional plans to maximize sales.
• Analyze department financial and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with other department leaders to drive store success.
