Job summary

Gateway Community Action Agency in Vanceburg, KY is seeking an Area Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operations of the HS/EHS center. You will supervise staff, ensure program compliance with federal standards, and coordinate with managers to implement strategic plans that meet goals.

The role requires strong management experience, proficiency with Excel and school/program data systems, plus the ability to foster parent and community engagement while maintaining child-to-staff ratios.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with minimum 2 years in management.
• Preferred: Associate’s Degree or higher in Business Administration/Management with 5 years in management.
• Experience in budget development and fiscal management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational supervision of assigned early childhood program.
• Follow agency policies and federal mandates for HS Program Performance Standards.
• Coordinate with program Managers to align plans with goals.
• Build local work teams with adequate classroom coverage and child ratios.
• Complete documentation and submit records on time.
• Communicate with Administrative Specialist regularly.
• Supervise staff attendance, leave, and activities.
• Engage parent/community participation to reach non-federal share target.
• Conduct annual staff performance reviews and set goals.
• Plan staff meetings to address training needs.
• Monitor data using CHILDPLUS and Teaching Strategies.
• Order supplies.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
• Attend IEP/IFSP meetings when available and/or necessary.
• Participate in assigned meetings, events and training as required.
• Ensure that a minimum of 15 clock hours of allowable professional development is completed annually.
