Job summary

Beaufort County is seeking a leader for a team of Convenience Center attendants to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations at County Convenience Centers. The role involves assisting residents with waste and recycling disposal, ensuring adherence to procedures, overseeing container pulls, and supporting daily reporting and site maintenance.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, with a preference for 1 year in solid waste, recycling, or customer service and

Qualifications

• Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in solid waste operations, recycling, customer service, or related field preferred.
• Experience in a lead or supervisory role is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of attendants to complete daily tasks safely and efficiently.
• Oversees day-to-day site operations to maximize performance and ensure policy compliance.
• Verifies containers are serviced and replaced by contracted haulers; reports service issues.
• Acts as primary contact for patrons, guiding disposal and recycling procedures.
• Collects information for incident reports and maintains site cleanliness and appearance.
• Monitors site conditions, equipment, and safety; reports concerns promptly.
• Coordinates with the Foreman on operational needs and updates.
• Performs related tasks as assigned.
