Job summary

Senior Care Partners PACE in Michigan is seeking a Center Manager to lead the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and oversee day-to-day center operations, ensuring exceptional participant care and regulatory compliance.

You will champion the PACE model, promote participant independence, support caregivers, and foster a collaborative, patient-centered culture while guiding a skilled operations staff to deliver coordinated, high-quality services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven leadership, team-building, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to coach, educate, and empower team members.
  • Experience developing and implementing operational goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with older adults, frail seniors, or long-term care populations.

Job description

The Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) offers a variety of services, with many of them provided onsite at a PACE Center.

PACE is an alternative to nursing home care and – through an interdisciplinary care team (IDT) of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, therapists, van drivers, and aides – coordinates and provides preventive, primary, acute, and long-term care services, so older individuals can continue living in the community.

Primary Purpose

The Center Manager leads the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and oversees day-to-day center operations to ensure exceptional participant care, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. This role champions the PACE model by promoting participant independence, honoring healthcare choices, supporting caregivers, and fostering a collaborative, participant-centered culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
  • Champion PACE principles and participant-centered care practices.
  • Ensure consistent and efficient center operations.
  • Drive participant and caregiver satisfaction through exceptional service and engagement.
  • Coach, develop, and support operations staff.
  • Ensure compliance with PACE, state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Promote quality outcomes, participant autonomy, and family caregiver support.

Leadership Responsibilities

Directly supervises and supports the IDT Administrative Assistant, Facilities Administrative Assistant, Assistant Center Manager, and Receptionist. Provides coaching, performance management, and team development to ensure operational excellence and a positive participant experience.

Qualifications

Requirements
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, long-term care regulations, and quality standards.
  • Current CPR certification (AHA) or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must meet CMS competency standards before working independently.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with participants, families, staff, and community partners.

Additional Requirements
  • Must be fully vaccinated or willing to become vaccinated against: Influenza, MMR, Varicella, Tdap/Td, COVID-19, and Hepatitis B
