U-Haul is seeking a General Manager to oversee a moving and storage center in West Roxbury, MA. You will ensure profitability, hire and mentor staff, manage inventory, and deliver excellent customer service.

The role requires 1–3 years of retail or service management with P&L responsibility, plus a valid driver’s license and the ability to work weekends and holidays. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of management experience in retail or service industries with financial accountability.
• Computer proficiency and comfort with basic software/tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Management proficiency in high-volume retail with P&L accountability.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent; willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage the moving and storage center to deliver profitable, efficient operations.
• Perform profit/loss analyses and control center budget.
• Hire and mentor new team members for strong performance.
• Track and itemize inventory and manage center assets.
• Ensure customers receive high quality care and service.
• Maintain fuel receipts, petty cash and secure premises.
• Participate in U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
