Job summary

A Child's Place in Blue Bell, PA seeks a dependable Center Floater to support classrooms across the Early Learning Center. The role requires comfort with ages from infants to Pre-K and flexibility to fill in as needed.

Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with teamwork to create a safe, engaging environment. Responsibilities include supervising children, maintaining safety, supporting development, observing progress, and communicating with families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services (or equivalent with required credits).
• Bachelor’s degree with 30+ credits in the field and 1 year of child care experience.
• Associate’s degree in the field with 2 years of child care experience.
• Associate’s degree with 30+ credits and 3 years of child care experience.
• At least 30 college credits in the field for Assistant Supervisor track.
• At least two years of documented experience working with children.
• Ability to pass required background and clearance checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in classrooms, snack times, group and individual activities, and playgrounds to ensure safety and a positive learning environment.
• Maintain children's safety through active supervision, classroom management, and emergency procedures.
• Establish and reinforce behavior expectations and classroom policies.
• Create a welcoming, cooperative atmosphere for children and families.
• Observe and document children’s behavior and development; complete reports twice per year.
• Assist with lesson plans and ACP curriculum; provide individual and group instruction.
• Prepare classrooms and spaces for effective learning; participate in activities promoting development.
• Communicate with parents through daily interactions, reports, and photos.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services

Bachelor’s degree with at least 30 credit hours in one of the above-mentioned fields and one year of documented experience with children

Associate’s degree in one of the above-mentioned fields and two years of documented experience with children

Associate’s degree with at least 30 credit hours in one of the above-mentioned fields and three years of documented experience with children

At least 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services

At least two years of documented experience working with children
