Job summary

Easterseals DC MD VA is seeking a Center Director for its Head Start program in Camp Springs, MD. You will lead daily operations, ensure licensing and quality standards, and supervise staff to deliver comprehensive early education services.

The role requires a minimum of three years of supervisory experience, a bachelor’s degree in ECE or related field (preferred), and a strong commitment to equity and inclusion. Salary ranges from $70,000 to $80,000 with exempt status.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience or related work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in ECE or related field highly preferred.
• Must meet Maryland childcare leadership requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with parents, staff, and licensing with a focus on excellent service.
• Develops operational procedures with Head Start Director and implements strategic initiatives.
• Ensures compliance with state licensing, federal standards, and company policies.
• Maintains licenses, contracts for utilities and supplies, and inventory of equipment.
• Supervises all Center staff and manages annual IT, facility, and food service budgets.
