Job summary

Child Development Centers Inc. is hiring a dedicated Custodian in Erie, PA. The role involves maintaining a sanitary, orderly center environment for children and staff, with responsibilities spanning daily cleaning, floor care, waste removal, and routine safety checks.

The successful candidate will manage cleaning schedules, restock supplies, perform deep interior cleans, and assist with inventory while reporting to the Center Director. Travel to other centers within the county may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires excellent time management and reliability.
• Ability to obtain required state and federal clearances.
• Must maintain attendance and punctuality.
• May involve travel to other centers within the county.

Responsibilities

• Keeps center areas clean and ready for children and staff the next day.
• Maintains floor and carpet care schedule (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, shampooing).
• Upholds facility hygiene by daily waste removal and clean waste areas.
• Restocks restroom supplies to maintain hygiene.
• Performs deep cleaning of interior surfaces as needed.
• Maintains custodial supplies inventory and reorders as needed.
• Completes additional tasks as assigned by the Center Director.
• Identifies safety concerns and reports them to the Center Director.
