Job summary

BrightPath Kids in West Hartford, CT is seeking a Center Cook to prepare healthy meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks for our preschool children. You will help maintain a clean, organized kitchen and support classroom activities when possible to foster a warm, learning-focused environment.

Applicants with high school diploma and 1+ year of food prep are encouraged to apply. ServSafe and CACFP experience preferred; state child care criteria must be met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of food preparation experience preferred.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification preferred.
• CACFP experience preferred.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy meals for breakfast, lunch and snacks.
• Keep kitchen clean, organized and running smoothly.
• Support teachers and engage in classroom activities when possible.
