BrightPath Kids in West Hartford, CT is seeking a Center Cook to fuel young minds and bodies by preparing healthy meals for breakfast, lunch and snacks. You will emphasize nutrition and food safety, helping children stay energized and ready to learn while keeping the kitchen clean and organized.

We welcome cooks who enjoy classroom time and supporting teachers; this dual role lets you build connections with children in a warm, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of food preparation experience preferred.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification preferred.
• CACFP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy meals for breakfast, lunch and snacks.
• Maintain food safety and kitchen cleanliness.
• Possibly assist in classroom activities and support teachers.
• Contribute to a warm, collaborative environment for children.

Center: West Hartford Fennway, CT

Pay Range: $16.94 - $18.50 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time

What will you be doing?

As a Center Cook, you'll play a vital role in fueling young minds and bodies by preparing healthy and delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Your attention to nutrition and food safety helps ensure our children are energized and ready to learn and grow each day. You’ll also take pride in keeping our kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly.

In addition to your kitchen role, we welcome and value cooks who are interested in spending time in the classroom. This unique opportunity allows you to build meaningful connections with the children by supporting teachers and engaging in classroom activities. While not required, your presence in both the kitchen and classroom helps create a warm, supportive environment for all.
