Responsibilities

Understands learning theory and uses this to design standards-based instruction aligned with IEPs and grade-level expectations.
Develops measurable IEP goals and uses data to guide instructional decisions.
Designs individualized lesson plans and adapts instruction to ensure access to general education.
Creates a safe, inclusive environment with routines that maximize instructional time.
Provides direct and indirect special education instruction in various service models.
Monitors progress and provides feedback; adjusts instruction accordingly.
Supervises paraprofessionals and ensures accommodations and behavior supports are implemented.
Maintains IEPs and documentation compliant with laws and district procedures.
Coordinates services with families, admins, and related service providers.
